Does your machine have a current-truth problem?
Answer four questions — an educational read on whether maintained truth would change this system’s work.
The three possible reads
Four yes answers: This machine depends on a changing real world and can preserve the evidence needed to govern its actions.
Two or three: A bounded entity and event universe may reveal whether maintained truth improves the system's work.
Fewer: Signal Bureau is most useful where real-world change materially alters an answer, decision or route.

Why not just ask an AI?
- Every claim is traced to a named source. The generating model is barred from adding facts from its own training data; what it writes must come from the documents in front of it.
- An independent second pass checks each claim against those sources and names what it cannot locate. An unlocatable claim is labeled unverified, its confidence is downgraded, and the abstention is recorded instead of a guess.
- Everything carries a timestamp and an evidence status: what was checked, when, and against which source.
- Every published probability lands in a forward-committed public calibration record and is graded against how reality resolved. Time is the air-gap: the forecast is logged before the outcome exists, so the track record cannot be back-filled. Ad-hoc synthesis has no record at all.
- Every asker reads the same maintained record. Two agents asking the same question get the same state, not two different improvisations.
- Corrections are published, never silently edited. The record shows what we got wrong and when we fixed it.
We may not be for you. If a wrong or stale answer costs you nothing, free search or a general-purpose chat model is the right tool, and we will say so. If staleness or error has a price (a filing, a shipment, a trade, a briefing someone acts on), a source-traced, verified, graded answer is the cheapest item in the decision path.
If being wrong is free, so is Google. If being wrong costs you something, we're twenty-five cents.
Give one machine a world to keep current.
Choose the system, its responsibility and the changes that matter. Signal Bureau maintains that bounded world and delivers the evidence into the workflow.
- One defined machine and human owner
- Bounded entity, event and source universe
- Live system delivery and human inspection surface
- Written freshness, relevance and evidence tests
Proof before purchase: inspect a live record and the graded scorecard first.
